Artistic Hair Restoration: Facial Hair Transplants

Facial hair transplantation includes reconstruction or restoration of the eyebrows, eyelashes, temporal peaks, sideburns, moustache and beard. The qualified restoration specialist is not limited to a typical hair loss patient, making these transplants as seamless as any hair restoration procedure on the scalp.

Definitions of techniques allowing for successful facial hair transplants:

Binocular microscopy- extreme magnification devices that aid in the precise trimming of single hair follicular units without the excess tissue (creating a smaller graft) but with all the important structures to ensure the new growth.

Acute angling- Making sites for the transplanted hair that almost lay flat on the skin, the naturally occurring angles for the original hairs

Dense packing- The use of tiny blades and microscopic needles to create the transplant sites as close together as they would naturally occur.

In addition to the technological advances are the artistic ability and keen eye of the hair restoration physician. Dr. Arocha’s study and interest in fine art is transferred to the extremely natural and artistic hair restoration results of his very happy patients.
