Hair Transplant Recovery

Most hair replacement surgery patients experience a quick recovery. Discomfort is normally minimal and brief. Most discomfort is the result of sleeping on the surgical wound where the strip of skin was removed. This is usually remedied by Tylenol or Motrin. A more potent painkiller can be taken, but is usually unnecessary as the pain is rarely anything but mild.

The actual grafts also heal quickly, forming a brown scab. These scabs are shed around one week post procedure. Using a Graftcyte post-surgical kit is recommended to aid in the healing and growth of your hair transplant. These are available at our Dallas Hair Restoration office.
